This Program’s objective was to identify clay, gravel and sand deposits, evaluate their availability and produce estimations of their quantities in locations outside reservoir flood area.
The objective was to enable the continuity of ceramic-pottery activities in the region. For this, activities were promoted such as regional geological recognition, drilling of samples, soil sampling, geological mapping of strategic areas and dimensioning of available volume of these deposits.
With the analyses, it was possible to adjust the existant economic activity before the reservoir filling up with its productive reinsertion after the filling up of the reservoir. This program’s actions were completed and those with a specific treatment for economic activities were developed under the Adequacy of Economic Activities Program (PEB 20).
